The origin of usukuchi soy sauce is Tatsuno, in the mountains of Hyogo prefecture. The area’s cool climate, and natural soft water are ideal for soy sauce production. Suehiro soy sauce brewery is based in Tatsuno, and has been brewing shoyu there since 1887.
This shoyu is made with 100% domestic soybeans and wheat grown in Hyogo Prefecture, local to Suehiro’s shoyu brewery. The mellow flavor of this shoyu makes it ideal for pouring on top of finished dishes, or as a dipping sauce.
